JAchu Ventures CEO, Jennifer Achu, gets int’l recognition in London.

Jennifer Achu, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of JAchu Ventures has received an international recognition for successively giving back to her community and helping individuals and organisations reach their full potentials.

The visionary leader with passion for creativity and community growth was declared winner of the “Diaspora Impact” award. 

This was during the 13th Edition of the African Achievers Awards. She was handed the award in London, in the United Kingdom, UK. The award ceremony took place in the UK House of Lords last July 14. 

The Advisory Board under Authorisation granted by the Board of Trustees awarded the outstanding JAchu Ventures CEO with a wealth of experience for using her expertise to help small businesses and individuals navigate the complexities of the business world and establish a credible brand.

The award handed to Jennifer Achu is signed by Dr Susan Fajana-Thomas O.B.E, Chairman of the African Achievers Awards and Dr Tonye Rex Idaminabon FRSA, Chief Executive of the awards committee.

Founded in 2011, the African Achievers Awards is an annual awards ceremony that celebrates African excellence through recognising and honouring notable individuals and organisations in Africa across multiple industries that contribute immensely to the growth and development of the continent.

At the 13th African Achievers Award, Jennifer Achu was recognised alongside Vice President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh; the Honorary Consul of Malawi in the State of Israel, His Excellency Ambassador Nir Gess; the Founder Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs organisation, Summy Smart Francis; Ms Vincia Cloete Namibia Institute of Corporate governance, amongst others were also honoured. 

Also on the honour list at the high profile event were other Cameroonians including Christelle Bay Nfor, Founder of Hope for the Needy Association, HOFNA Cameroon and Prof Victor Mbarika of the ICT University.

Since its inception, the award has recognised influential Africans that are developing and growing Africa. The first award was presented to Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu in 2011 to recognise his fight for human rights, justice and peace.

 

Recognised by Mayor of Frisco City 

Her strides in giving back to the community recently got her a recognition from the Mayor of Frisco City, Texas, USA.

On Tuesday August 1, Mayor Jeff Cheney, during a city council meeting proclaimed August 1 the “Jennifer Achu Day.” 

According to the proclamation by Mayor Jeff Cheney, all citizens of Frisco should do “their share to make a difference” in the community. 

“Thank you Mayor Jeff Cheney, all our City Council members, and the entire city staff for your tireless efforts in making Frisco Texas a remarkable place to live, work, play and contribute to. Your commitment to our community is truly commendable, and I am privileged to be a part of this remarkable city. Its vibrant and inclusive community, outstanding infrastructure, and pro-business environment have provided me with a nurturing ground to thrive,” Jennifer Achu said in a thank you message

Jennifer Achu considers Frisco City as a catalyst in her achievements and recognition. 

“Your acceptance of me and my passions allowed me to grow and serve as an example of female leadership and empowerment to young women in Texas and beyond. You have played a significant role in this recognition, in my award and my success. Today, I am appreciative of the trust and confidence given to me by our city and its leadership. I cannot wait to continue this journey because there is so much more to come,” she added. 

Jennifer Achu dedicated her day to girls. “I look forward to continuing my positive contributions to this amazing community and beyond through my JenAchu Foundation. I am dedicating this day (August 1st) to all the young girls near and far who dare to dream big,” she concluded in her appreciation note.

Jennifer Achu is founder of the Miss Africa Texas Scholarship Pageant, which has provided multiple scholarships to young women in Texas, USA, for over a decade.

She is a former beauty queen and accomplished public speaker exceling at networking, communication, and building relationships.

Jennifer Achu has also served as a campaign ambassador for the Mayor of Frisco in the USA and is a community leader with strong connections both locally and internationally.

She started JAchu Ventures largely due to her deep commitment to giving back to her community. According to an article by the Star Local Media, she has “found many ways to give back to the community”

Jennifer Achu has been working with the Frisco Inclusion Committee, the City of Frisco Urban Forestry Board, and the Frisco Education Foundation. Her dedication to serving others is a testament to her character and her passion for making a positive impact.

In addition to her scholarship pageant and community work, she has a background in nursing and holds a degree from Labouré College of Healthcare in Boston, Massachusetts.

Jennifer Achu is proud of her many years of dedication to nursing and the profession of caring for others. She has worked for the most prestigious healthcare systems in America.

She is author of the book titled: “Finding Your Inner Purpose – The Journey”, published in 2016. She has had as main goal to help encourage young women who attended her annual scholarship pageant program in Texas, USA, mentoring them on how to be the best version of themselves through service.
