MTN Elite One & Two, Guinness Super League: SYNAFOC rewards most top-performing players for December 2024.

The National Union of Cameroonian Footballers better known by its French acronym, SYNAFOC, has rewarded the most outstanding players for the month of December 2024 in the MTN Elite One, MTN Elite Two and Guinness Super League. 

The top-performing players received their awards on Thursday, January 30, at the SYNAFOC headquarters in Douala.



The footballers’ union named Jody Youmba of Gazelle FA of Garoua as the most performant player in the Elite One competition.

Youmba played a key role in helping Gazelle secure three wins in five matches in the month of December, scoring three goals.

His first goal of the season was in Gazelle’s 4-0 win over PWD Social Club of Bamenda in Mbouda. 

He netted a brace when the Garoua club defeated Union Sportive of Douala in a match day four fixture.

During the ceremony to reward top-performing players, Youmba represented by his mother, received a trophy and a cash prize of 100,000 CFA francs on his behalf.

In the Elite Two championship, Isidore Ndoumbe of Avion Academy of Douala, who was named SYNAFOC Player of The Month. 

He was ranked ahead of Noel Tjahe of FAP of Yaounde and Song Nwelar of Bafmeng United.

He received a trophy and a cash prize of 50,000 CFA FCFA in recognition of his outstanding performances.

For the Guinness Super League, Tiwa Lys Fraîche, forward for Lekie FC, was recognised as the best female player for December. 

She was also went home with a trophy and a sum of 100,000 FCFA for her remarkable contributions on the field.

According to officials, this initiative by SYNAFOC has become a key incentive for footballers in Cameroon, encouraging them to strive for excellence each month. 

By recognising and supporting players, the organisation continues to contribute to the development and professionalisation of football in the country.
