Political party, MP3, presents 12 key points to solve ‘Cameroon problem’.

Leaders and founders of political party, Movement for Patriotism and People’s Prosperity, otherwise known as MP3, have presented 12 key points imbedded in their program for the year 2025.

The key points, which they say seek to solve what they have described as the ‘Cameroon problem’, were unveiled to the public during a meeting organised in Douala.

Speaking during the event, on Saturday February 1, the party’s Executive Secretary, Hiram Eyodi, and National Social Coordinator, Kohtem Princewil Sambit, noted that the MP3’s social project is tilted to building a sovereign Cameroon, where peace and prosperity is for all.

The said project and vision for Cameroon, as seen in their manifesto, termed ‘Afro Social Liberalism’, reflects the dreams young Cameroonians have of a country that will have regained peace, consolidate the state of its nation, built a competitive industry to sustainably transform its resources, and above all dominate in monetary sovereignty.

They said the current reality speak little of the dream as there is no peace in the English-speaking regions of the country, added to daunting challenges of youth unemployment.

They also argued that the educational system does not reflect the job market while the justice system is not equitable for all and State resources are wasted at infinite

From the standpoint of patriotism, MP3 party officials emphasised that Cameroon can and must embody the starting point of its global culture of prosperity.

“…if we are to fulfill our common destiny, we must equip ourselves with all the means necessary to draw up the broad outlines of this global culture, and then synthesise this culture into development models that we can apply and export to all nations,” they said

According to the leaders of MP3, the prosperous destiny will be achieved because they are committed to build positively and differently, to better transform the country beyond infrastructures and institutions.

Building a Cameroon of social justice and shared prosperity, one that gives each of its children the same opportunities to fulfil their potential and participate in building a better way of living together, is the vision of the party.

Fully aware that the difficulties facing Cameroon are rooted in the shortcomings of current political leadership, the members said, they do not intend to remain confined to collection of proposals that will not have a positive impact on the daily lives of Cameroonian citizens.

“We are determined to take action to bring our own vision of our country’s life and future to fruition,” they noted in their manifesto.

The MP3 members have maintained, they do not have a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections, but will side with an opposition candidate.

“We are a patriotic party that holds the people at heart. It is important for us to let the public know what we stand for. A political program is more important than having a presidential candidate, when we have our program accepted by the population, a political candidate and other things can follow,” Kohtem Princewil Sambit noted.

He went on to add: “We are young people who understand the political terrain and our key points were drawn from sampling of Cameroonians we want to liberate Cameroon from ills”.

The supporters of MP3 are committed to drawing Cameroon’s ethnolinguistic rich heritage to identify ideological principles and fundamental values that will enable Cameroonians to build a modern society in line with sociological and cultural realities.
