Distinction: Ade Divine Muma Best Microfinance GM in CEMAC.

Ade Muma’s stellar performance at the helm of NtaCCUL, for over a decade, in empowering communities, alleviating poverty and driving development, was again recognised last weekend in Douala. 

The versatile NtaCCUL General Manager was singled out by the Cameroon English Language Newspaper Publishers Association, CENPA. 

This was during the third edition of CENPA Award Night, where he was declared as winner of CEMAC Microfinance Best General Manager Award. 

Members of the CENPA award jury said Ade Muma emerged victorious in the category for his “remarkable and never-seen managerial savvy and expertise that have put the Ntarinkon Credit Union at the forefront of microfinance institutions in the entire CEMAC Sub-region”.

Inspiring track record as NtaCCUL GM

Ade Muma has since assuming the role of NtACCUL General Manager in 2013, been shouldering and piloting revolutionary ideas that have taken the microfinance institution to higher heights, growth and financial stability. 

Under his reign, NtaCCUL has and still remains the highest interest-paying microfinance institution in the entire CEMAC Sub-region, added to massive increase in membership, savings and turnover. 

Ade Muma has introduced cutting-edge technological tools that have completely modernised and digitalised service delivery at the credit union and taken services closest to the population. 

The financial bulldozer has also pushed across schemes that have delivered reforms to curb poverty among members and shape their financial future.

His current tenure as General Manager of Ntarinkon Credit Union has been nothing short of a towering all-round success with creation of many branches spread almost all over the national territory and membership counting 120,000 persons. 

Under Ade Muma, Ntarinkon Credit Union has been powering economic growth by pumping billions of FCFA to support businesses in the country, especially those owned young Compatriots.

Ade Muma; born to excel

Ade Divine Muma, it must be mentioned, is not a product of accidental success. Ade Muma who has been key to Ntarinkon Credit Union’s growth, is a man of merit, with a rare academic and professional pacour. 

He holds a B.Sc. in Banking and Finance from the University of Buea; Higher Diploma in Business Administration from the London School of Commerce and Master of Business Administration, MBA in Finance from the University of Wales Institute, London.

Ade Muma has dispensed knowledge in most higher institutions of learning in Cameroon and beyond. From the University of Bamenda, UBa, to the Higher Institute of Commerce and Management, Ade Muma has remained a unique resource person. 

Ade Muma is a former credit analyst of the Cameroon Cooperative Credit Union League-CamCCUL. He remains reputed nationwide and beyond for his efficacy in service.  At CamCCUL, Ade Muma was the backbone of most Credit Union Managers and League Board, when he served there.

In 26 years within the leadership rank of the Ntarinkon Cooperative Credit Union, NtaCCUL, Ade Muma, has remained a unique growth catalyst. He served as Head of the Lending Department of NtaCCUL between 2002 and 2010. 

His exploits earned him promotion in July 2011, to the post of Head of Finance Control and Supervision Department of NtaCCUL. 

He held that position until February 2013, when he was named General Manager of NtaCCUL. Thirteen years on as General Manager, the story of NtaCCUL has remained attractive, rallying and massive. 

The CENPA award comes barely months after Ade Muna was also honoured in the United States of America, USA, for his outstanding role in promoting youth entrepreneurship in Cameroon and beyond.

Earlier this year, he was honoured as the "Most Innovative, Creative & Digitally Savvy General Manager of the Decade".

The distinction was conferred on him in Yaounde, during the Decennial Trendsetters Award Night, organised by The Voice newspaper.

In 2022, Ade Muma won the Best Microfinance General Manager Award. The NtaCCUL GM had bagged the prize at the 2022 edition of The Herald Tribune Excellence Awards that held in Bamenda.
