To asist parents as schools resume: SODECOTON offers discount on products to families in Far North.

According to the Head of Marketing and Sales Division at SODECOTON, Moussa Yerima, the drive is designed to alleviate the extra costs associated with the new academic year for most families.

"…the beginning of each academic year is usually tough for many parents, with added expenses for school supplies like uniforms, bags, and books," Yerima stated.

Yerima said the iniative which has become annual is part of SODECOCTON managment’s commitment to support the local population. 

The Marketing and Sales Division boss disclosed that there are 124 sales pionts set up across the six divisions of the Far North Region this year.

Through the sales pionts, Yerima said SODECOTON is bent on ensuring that members of the public have easy access to the products on sale. He said the discounts are mostly on essential cooking supplies.

Among the products within this year’s back-to-school promotional sale scheme, Yerima said there is the vegatable oil DIAMAOR. A litre of the product which cost 1,500 FCFA, Yerima said, is now sold at 1,150 FCFA at all promotional sales points.

At one of the sales points which The Guardian Post visited, parents and guardians were spotted queuing to take advantage of the promtional sales to stock homes.

One of those who already took advantage of the discount, Aisha praised SODECOTON managment for keeping the drive alive. Aisha said thanks to the move, she can now boasts of vegetable oil to prepare breakfast for her kids at dawn everday before the go to school. 

The leftover in her purse accruing from the discount, the mother said, will be used to buy other didactics which her children are still lacking.
