Opinion: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s contribution to dissemination Arabic in Cameroon.

Languages are templates for the experiences of human life in all its social, cultural, economic and political dimensions. By these considerations, they have been the tool of civilizational and cultural communication between nations and peoples, resulting in strengthening bonds on the basis of these commonalities, and the sharing of knowledge, principles and human values.

Consequently, Arabic, due to its status of an indispensable means to understand Islamic culture with its diverse material, penetrated earlier some countries through learning circles that promoted teaching language in its various aspects and Islamic sciences based on the cultural dimension that link public life to Islamic culture.

This presence of Arabic had a tangible impact on poetry composition, recording of some judicial rulings and historical events. Additionally, Arabic has been used, on a small scale, in correspondence between governors, judges and students of the various learning circles. This role was played by the talented students graduated from these circles.

With the opening of our country to multiculturalism after independence, the elite of this generation had the opportunity to study in the Orient and the West. In this respect, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was the first destination in the Orient, due to following main some factors: when praying Muslims face Kaaba which is in Saudi Arabia, Islam was revealed in Saudi Arabia, the Two Islamic Holy Mosques are located in Saudi Arabia.

After the return of the first batches, Arabic took its step towards horizontal expansion through traditional and formal education institutions, showcasing its vitality which is continuously growing, specifically because of the augmentation of the number of available scholarships, the increase of schools teaching Arabic and the organization of workshops and seminars in regular basis.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – may Allah protect it – has been making tremendous efforts with clear positive impact in this crucial domain. This significant contribution is still growing through the efforts of graduate students, the scholarships grant and the active role of Saudi institutions in the educational field.

In this regard, based on the firm ties that bind us to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we would like to join the Saudi people for the celebration of the ninety-fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We seize this special opportunity to address our sincere congratulations to the honorable Saudi people, asking the Almighty Lord to perpetuate for them, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, development, prosperity, security and stability. We also ask the Almighty Lord to facilitate for our country the means of emergence, and prosperity, and perpetuate security and stability.
