October 12 poll: Achidi Judith galvanises diaspora for Biya.

Achidi Judith & delegation members with cross section of supporters in US

The Head of the CPDM Campaign Delegation to the United States of America, USA, Canada and Brazil, Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi, has convinced compatriots in the diaspora to massively vote and renew the mandate of incumbent Head of State, Paul Biya, at the helm of the State.

Judith Achidi, who doubles as the General Manager of Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL, accompanied by Dr Kinge Monono, a member of the campaign delegation, have been on the offensive, holding strategic meetings with party supporters and sympathisers to market the greatness and hope vision of the CPDM flagbearer at the October 12 election.

While delivering President Biya’s message of “truth, realism, experience and hope,” to the huge crowd of party officials and supporters in Washington D.C., Judith Achidi, a revered Central Committee Member of the CPDM, appealed for all to rally behind President Biya, to take the country to another level.

Achidi Judith described President Biya as an ideal candidate, urging the diaspora to vote for the Statesman, who she said has always guaranteed the rights and freedoms of every Cameroonian, wherever they find themselves.

She argued that it was on this score that President Biya, in 2011, acted with “conviction and wisdom”, to enact the law guaranteeing the right to vote in the presidential election in the diaspora.

The North West CPDM bigwig and respected grassroots support-mobiliser in Donga Mantung, reminded diaspora compatriots that they remain dear to the Head of State.

“The Cameroonian diaspora is very close to the heart of President Paul Biya,” Achidi Judith stated, while underscoring the strategic role of the diaspora in the country’s development process.

“He [Biya] sees you as key actors of progress and partners in the country’s emergence,” she said, while urging the diaspora to transmute its status from “simple transmitters” of funds to that of ardent “builders” of the nation, driving investment, innovation, and the development of the national economy.

Achidi Judith and her delegation launched an unambiguous appeal for all compatriots in the diaspora to “come and join President Paul Biya, build our beautiful country!”.

This, they explained, is to make the diaspora, which is a “treasure of skills”, a driver of productive investment, going beyond the sole framework of traditional financial transfers.

The CPDM delegation also outlined the numerous gains acquired, thanks to an inclusive approach of the Head of State in addressing the crisis in the North West and South West Regions of the country.

While outlining the recognition of the “Anglo-Saxon particularity”, the delegation denounced the “progressive destruction” caused by secessionist violence in the two administrative units.

The delegation also used the opportunity to launch a powerful call for civic responsibility that seeks to transcend partisan divisions in order to foster the national unity so cherished by President Biya.

The Achidi Judith-led CPDM delegation cited in synopsis, initiatives put in place by the government to reintegrate the diaspora, which are still underexploited such as the Return and Integration Assistance Program for Young People from the Diaspora, PARIJEDI; Ordinance No. 2025/002 offering major tax and customs exemptions, underused by the Cameroonian community in the USA and the Icud-Diaspora platform of the Douala City Council.

Achidi Judith and her team also addressed what they described as “erroneous information and constant denigration” of the country by some groups abroad.

“Some of our compatriots have deviated from the path of dialogue and peace. President Biya has not ignored the problems but has continued working to rebuild and secure affected Regions,” she explained.

Achidi Judith argued that beyond social media misinformation, the reality on the ground speaks volume of resilience and tangible progress.

The delegation also counted the achievements of President Biya in the past mandate, especially in the domain of infrastructure development.

She mentioned the Babadjou-Bamenda Road, improvement in health care provision, digitalisation of the economy and called on the diaspora to place their faith in President Biya in order to achieve bigger in the new mandate he is seeking.

Drawing from her professional background, she pointed to the telecommunications sector as an example of how national infrastructure is powering the digital economy and creating “Cameroon’s own Silicon Valleys.”

“Despite the challenges, our country is moving forward every month, new factories are inaugurated. The diaspora must see beyond disinformation and join this effort,” Achidi Judith stated.

Judith Yah Achidi and her delegation called on compatriots to be “builders, innovators, investors and ambassadors of Cameroon,” by voting massively for President Biya on October 12.

A vote for the CPDM candidate, they stated, consolidates the leadership of President Biya as the essential apostle of peace and unity.

“There's no doubt in my mind that our candidate, our champion, will come out victorious here in the United States of America,” Dr Mokoko said.

Also present at the mega rally was the Section President of CPDM USA, Patience Tamfu. She invited the Cameroon community in the US to consider their role in the nation's future and rally favourably behind their champion, President Biya.

Also present at the rally was the head of Cameroon’s diplomatic mission to the US, H.E Ambassador Henri Etoundi Essomba.
